NEET UG Result 2026 Declared: 11.21 Lakh Candidates Qualify for Undergraduate Medical Admissions

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the much-awaited NEET UG Result 2026, paving the way for medical admissions across the country.

A total of nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared for the examination across 5,440 centres in 551 Indian cities and 14 cities abroad, out of which 11.21 lakh aspirants have successfully qualified. Notably, women dominated this year's qualifying results, representing over 58 per cent of the successful candidates.

Top Performers and Highest Scorers:

• All India Toppers: The highest score of 715 out of 720 was jointly secured by Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana.

• Elite Scorers: A total of 19 candidates scored above 700 marks, while 138 candidates across 66 cities secured 690 marks or higher.

• First-Attempt Success: An overwhelming 93 per cent of these top scorers were appearing for the NEET UG exam for the very first time, with 99 per cent falling between the age group of 17 and 19.

Category-Wise Qualified Candidates:

• General: 2.91 lakh

• OBC-NCL: 5.12 lakh

• SC: 1.59 lakh

• ST: 63,716

• Gen-EWS: 95,026

• PwBD / PwD: 3,666 / 303

Candidates can now log in to the official NTA portal to check their category-wise cut-off marks, download their individual scorecards, and prepare for the upcoming counselling sessions for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and allied medical courses.
