In Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, a tragic incident took place when a truck, travelling at a high speed, collided with a roadside dhaba, resulting in the unfortunate loss of four lives and injuring three individuals. This unfortunate occurrence unfolded on Wednesday night in close proximity to the Dhaulana police station.
According to Officer Devendra Singh Bisht of the police station, the truck driver lost control, leading to the collision with the dhaba house located near the residence of Zubeda's couple on the Dhaulana-Mussoorie road.
Due to the unfortunate accident, a total of 7 individuals sustained injuries and were promptly transported to the hospital. Regrettably, 4 individuals did not survive their injuries, including Arun (28 years old) and Jitendra (18 years old), who have been positively identified. Additionally, three other injured individuals are currently in critical condition, as stated by SHO Bisht.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma, ASP Rajkumar, and Circle Officer Varun Mishra promptly proceeded to the location. Mishra has verified the unfortunate loss of four lives in the accident, with the identification of two of the victims. It is suspected that these individuals were present at the dhaba, possibly enjoying a meal, during the time of the collision.
According to Mishra, it has been confirmed that the driver of the Canter truck has been arrested and is currently in custody.
