Operation Sindoor: Strikes Were Precise and Ethical, Says Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has strongly defended India’s recent military action under ‘Operation Sindoor’, describing it as a justified and targeted response to the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

Followed the values of Lord Hanuman

Drawing a parallel from Indian mythology, Rajnath Singh invoked the conduct of Lord Hanuman during his journey to Ashok Vatika to explain the nation’s approach.

“We followed the principle of Lord Hanuman that he followed while going into Ashok Vatika — ‘Jinh mohi maara, tinh mohi maare’,” Singh said during a media address in Delhi. “We only struck those responsible for the killing of innocent Indians.”

India carried out overnight missile strikes on multiple terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Rajnath Singh made it clear that the objective was not broad aggression, but a measured, high-precision mission aimed strictly at eliminating terror threats.

“This was not a mindless act of aggression. It was a precise and moral response. Our forces displayed bravery, alertness, and humanity,” he stated.

Singh reiterated that India had acted within its sovereign rights in response to the recent cross-border terror attack.

“India has exercised its right to respond to the attack on its soil,” he said. “With Operation Sindoor, our forces have given a befitting reply by destroying terrorist training camps.”

No harm done to Civilians

He added that all operations were executed cautiously, ensuring no harm to civilians.

“The armed forces operated with clarity and ethics, ensuring civilians were not affected,” the minister concluded.

The Indian government has asserted that the strikes targeted only terrorist infrastructure, aligning with India’s long-standing policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism. The situation continues to evolve, but India has made its stance clear — that India will not tolerate any kind of terrorism.
