Opposition to the Agniveer Scheme
Yadav vehemently opposed the Agniveer scheme, questioning its effectiveness in providing employability to the youth. In response to Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur's claim that the scheme guarantees 100% employment and fulfills long-standing aspirations regarding one rank, one pension, Yadav challenged the need for a 10% quota for Agniveers in Uttar Pradesh and other states if the program was genuinely beneficial. He criticized the current government, suggesting that their success is largely due to the initiatives of the Samajwadi Party. “The cycle (Samajwadi Party symbol) initiatives are running your government; if not for us, where would you be?” he stated.
Concerns Over Budget and Employment Opportunities
Yadav raised critical questions regarding the state budget and its effectiveness in creating job opportunities for the youth.
