You may have seen many protests, but women climbing a mobile tower to make their voices heard is certainly unusual.
The incident reportedly took place in Gugari village, Pichhore area of Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, where local women protested against liquor sales and demanded a ban in the village.
While some women continued the protest on the ground, others climbed a mobile tower, following which police reached the spot.
The women alleged that desi and kachhi liquor was being sold despite the absence of a licence, and claimed that alcohol-related disputes and domestic violence were increasing in their families.
Their message to the administration was clear: stop liquor sales in the village.
