A shocking food scandal has emerged from Vande Bharat Express as a passenger found live worms in dahi (curd) served in the train meal.

When the passenger complained, IRCTC staff casually dismissed it by saying “ye to kesar hai”.

The viral video forced Indian Railways and IRCTC to take strict action – IRCTC was fined ₹10 lakh, the vendor received a ₹50 lakh fine, and their contract was cancelled.

Further checks revealed the dahi had actually expired.

This is not the first time insects have been found in IRCTC food, raising serious concerns about food quality and hygiene in Indian Railways, especially in premium trains like Vande Bharat.
