ASSOCHAM (The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India) Goa State Council in collaboration with Goa IDC, NABARD & Government of Goa successfully organised “Agriculture Conclave 2025” on 8th October 2025 at Taj Vivanta, Panjim – Goa, with an objective to deliberate on adaptation of climate resilient farming practices, technology integration, adoption of innovative solutions and sustainable infrastructure development. It also aimed at strengthening Agro Industries and promotion of Agri Startups across the state. This platform successfully brought together policymakers, industry leaders, experts, and key stakeholders to address sectoral challenges and create a collaborative roadmap.
The conclave hosted thought- provoking panel discussions that included agri startups to deliberate on fostering innovation and on role of technology, Industry experts discussed on post-harvest management, special sessions highlighted on the newly launched Goa Warehousing & Logistics Scheme, new developments in PMFME Scheme and roundtable discussion on strengthening pre- and post-harvest systems - policy perspective for the state of Goa.
Shri Mauvin Godinho, Hon’ble Minister of Industries, Panchayat, Transport, Protocol & Legislative Affairs, Govt of Goa was invited as the Chief Guest who inaugurated the conclave and released knowledge report jointly prepared by ASSOCHAM and Primus Partners India titled “Empowering Small-Scale Players in India’s Food Supply Chain can unleash ₹ 1000 cr “that aimed at strengthening agricultural ecosystem and promoting entrepreneurship opportunities across the state. In his special address, Shri Mauvin Godinho emphasised on the importance of innovation and technology integration in Agro and allied Industry sectors for sustainable growth and encouraged Industries to establish fruitful linkages between tourism, agriculture and food processing industries for the development of the farming community and promote Agripreneurship.
Shri Arjun Mohan IAS, Secretary to Governor, Department of Agriculture & Rural Development, Govt of Goa was present as the Guest of Honor and Shri Sandeep Foldessai, Director, Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Goa as the Special guest and Shri Sandeep Dharkar as the Keynote speaker. In their insightful addresses, they provided valuable inputs on the new development in Agriculture sector and upcoming initiatives focus on uplifting economic development of the state.
