The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) Goa State Development Council, in association with the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Govt of Goa after successfully conducting several program series across the state under its unique initiative titled Bridging Horizons: The Confluence of Industry, Institute & Innovation, organised its valedictory series on 7th July 2025 in the special presence of Shri Mauvin Godinho, Hon’ble Minister of Industries, Trade & Commerce, Government of Goa, as the Chief Guest at MES Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar Goa. This series focused on the theme “Future Forward: AI Shaping Industries” that witnessed addresses by the eminent speakers namely Dr.Manasvi Kamat – Principal MES College, Shri Mangirish Salelkar, CEO-UMANG Group, Shri Sagar Govekar MD, EthernetXpress India pvt ltd, Capt. Ruchin Dayal CEO at eDOT solutions, Shri Yashvit Naik Co-Founder, Onstro, Shri Syam Ivaturi -Co Founder, DishaAI, Shri Gaurav Dixit -CEO Skillops.ai & Shri Damodar Pai Patnekar CEO- Bodhami.
In his address, Shri Mauvin Godinho emphasised that “while AI is a transformative tool, its human intelligence, Your Intelligence (YI), our capabilities that will always lead the way. AI must be seen as the enabler across the Industry, Education and Entrepreneurship, not feared as a replacement. Goa remains committed to advancing innovation through skill development, startup incubation and strong industry collaboration. The future belongs to our youth, and through such initiatives, we can guide them to become not just users of technology but creators of it.”
This initiative was launched on 26th September 2024, at Goa Business School in the virtual presence of the Hon’ble Minister of IT, Electronics & Communication and Start Ups, Shri Rohan Khaunte and at the auspicious hands of the former Director of IT, E & C, Govt of Goa. The past series focused on other important themes such as Rise of Industry 4.O, Why Start Ups in Goa, Future of Industry Academia and many more that aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, fostering innovation by nurturing entrepreneurial skills, promote capacity building of student participants by discussion emerging Industry trends, recent developments and highlighting necessary skill demands expected by the industry at present and in the future by addressing various skill gaps in promotion of rightful employability.
