Stop Eating Food Wrapped in Newspaper! FSSAI Issues Strict Ban

We all love the nostalgic experience of eating hot samosas and kachoris wrapped in newspaper during a train journey.

But did you know this habit could be putting your life at risk?

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has imposed a strict ban on using newspapers to wrap or serve food.

According to FSSAI, the ink used in newspapers contains hazardous chemicals that leach into hot or oily food, posing a long-term risk of severe illnesses, including cancer.

Furthermore, newspapers pass through countless hands during distribution, making them extremely unhygienic.

This rule is now being strictly enforced across all restaurants, cloud kitchens, and street food vendors in the country.

It’s time to prioritize our health and ditch this old habit for good.

What are your thoughts on this government decision?
