A fun afternoon bath turned into a deadly tragedy in Sagar Madhya Pradesh.

Four friends went to a pressure quarry near Gudha village to bathe. One slipped into deep water and two others jumped to save him.

Reports say Tanish Kori first went into deep water around 12:30 pm. Abhishek and Tejram jumped in without thinking to rescue him.

But neither the friend could be saved nor could they save themselves.

The fourth friend Ayush was about to jump too but people nearby held him back and pulled him to safety.

Police and SDRF teams reached the spot quickly. After hours of effort Abhishek's body was recovered.

The search for Tanish and Tejram continues as darkness forced a pause in the rescue operation.

The rescue resumed Saturday morning and teams are still searching for the missing youths.
