You might have heard of electricity theft, but thieves in Madhya Pradesh took things to a whole new level by stealing transformer oil!

Khargone police have officially busted an inter-district gang responsible for multiple sudden power outages across several villages.

After local transformers suspiciously shut down, investigations revealed intentional cuts at the bottom of the units, with oil worth lakhs drained and missing. Authorities took swift action, arresting four gang members and recovering a massive 1,860 liters of stolen transformer oil valued at approximately ₹4,09,000.
