Chase and Partial Apprehension
A police officer from Sitabuldi station, speaking anonymously, described the events:
"At T-Point, the Audi crashed into a Polo car. The Polo's occupants gave chase and managed to stop the Audi near Mankapur Bridge. At this point, three occupants, including Sanket Bawankule, escaped on foot."
The officer added that the Audi's driver, Arjun Hawre, and another occupant, Ronit Chittamwar, were apprehended by the Polo's passengers. They were initially taken to Tehsil police station before being transferred to Sitabuldi police for further investigation.
Based on Mr. Sonkamble's allegation, the authorities have opened a case for reckless driving and other violations. Afterwards, Hawre and Chittamwar were both set free on bond. Blood samples from the driver and the arrested occupant have been sent for testing, likely to check for alcohol levels.
