UP: Murder Accused Uses AI and Goat’s Body to Fake His Death

In a bizarre case from Uttar Pradesh’s Mau district, a murder accused allegedly used Artificial Intelligence (AI), a goat’s carcass and forged documents to stage his own death and evade trial.

Rajkumar Rajbhar, alias Raju, was facing trial in a 2016 murder case. According to police, he arranged a goat’s cremation, used AI-generated images to make it appear that he was on the funeral pyre, and obtained a death certificate that was submitted to the court.

He allegedly remained on the run for around 18 months, living under the radar until Mau police arrested him near Khwajajahanpur. His wife reportedly claimed ₹10 lakh in insurance money using the death documents, and investigators are examining the alleged fraud and the possible involvement of others.
