A devastating road accident occurred this morning on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh, raising fresh concerns over highway safety.

A double-decker sleeper bus, which was traveling from Lucknow to Noida, met with a severe collision near Mathura. The bus crashed violently into a trailer moving just ahead of it on the expressway.

The impact of the collision was extremely massive, completely crushing and destroying the entire front portion of the sleeper bus. Tragically, four people lost their lives on the spot, while 19 other passengers sustained serious injuries in the crash.

Upon receiving the emergency call, local police and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene. The injured passengers were swiftly rescued from the mangled wreckage and admitted to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
