Between June 6 and July 25, 2026, Jantar Mantar became the epicenter of a massive youth-led movement.
The protests were initiated by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), an Indian youth-based political movement, alongside several student organizations.
Thousands of Gen Z students gathered to demand accountability and reforms following irregularities in national examinations, specifically the 2026 NEET-UG paper leak.
The movement gained immense traction nationwide through social media activism, digital campaigns, and the widespread use of memes.
The sustained pressure from the youth ultimately led to the resignation of the Union Education Minister on July 25, 2026, after which the protests were officially called off.
