MP Gets Its Bus Service Back After 20 Years! 🚌⚡

After nearly two decades, Madhya Pradesh is set to bring back a state-backed bus service. 🚌

Following the closure of the old state transport service in 2004–05, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced the launch of ‘Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva’ from September 25.

Under the new scheme, preparations are underway to operate 15,000 modern EV and CNG buses through a PPP model.

Passenger safety will also get a major upgrade, with buses planned to feature GPS, CCTV cameras and panic buttons. 📍📹🚨

Routes have reportedly been finalised across all 55 districts, covering 150 city, 450 intercity and 436 interstate routes.

And there’s an interesting addition—Rapido will reportedly help with last-mile connectivity between homes and bus stops, initially as a pilot project in Bhopal and Indore. 🛵
