NEET OMR Row: Karnataka Student Claims Massive Mismatch, Scores -11 Marks

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) is facing another controversy as a student from Hangal in Karnataka's Haveri district alleges a major discrepancy in her uploaded OMR sheet. The aspirant, Bindushree Jagdish Pawar, claims that she answered 165 out of 180 questions during the examination. However, upon downloading her results, the uploaded OMR sheet reflected only 41 attempted questions, leaving her with a shocking final score of -11.

Key Highlights of the Allegations:

• Based on the official final answer key, Bindushree expected to receive a score of 668.

• She pointed out severe irregularities on the uploaded document, alleging that the fingerprint looked tampered with and featured a second overlapping thumb impression.

• The sheet displays an impossible timeline, with invigilator signatures recording an entry time of 1:56 p.m. and an exit time of 1:57 p.m., suggesting the exam was completed in one minute.

• The student has formally requested the National Testing Agency (NTA) to provide her original physical OMR sheet for verification.

While the student's family has reached out to the NTA via email without a response, the agency had recently issued a general statement dismissing social media claims of OMR manipulation as digitally forged and fabricated. If Bindushree's claims are verified, it could raise massive concerns regarding the transparency and credibility of the NEET evaluation process.
