⚖️ Jhansi Court Cancels Arrest Warrant Against Rakhi Sawant in 2010 TV Show Case

A Jhansi court has cancelled the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant in connection with a controversial 2010 television show case.

The warrant, reportedly issued on October 16, 2026, related to Rakhi Ka Insaaf, in which Sawant allegedly made defamatory remarks against a participant, Lakshman Ahirwar. His mother claimed that the public humiliation contributed to his subsequent suicide.

Sawant’s legal team reportedly cited a 2011 Allahabad High Court order that had stayed further proceedings and granted her protection against coercive action.

Taking the earlier order into account, the Jhansi court cancelled the arrest warrant on October 22.

However, the cancellation of the warrant does not necessarily mean the underlying case has been dismissed. Further legal proceedings may still follow.
