In a major crackdown on corruption, the Lokayukta team from Indore caught three government doctors red-handed while taking bribes in the Rajpur area of Barwani.

The doctors were allegedly taking heavy commissions for referring patients to private pathology labs instead of using hospital services.

The Lokayukta team planned a trap after receiving complaints.

During the raid, Dr. Amit Shakya was caught taking ₹8,000, Dr. Divya Sai was caught with ₹5,000, and Dr. Manohar Godara was caught taking ₹12,000.

Reports suggest that the commission rate, which was earlier 20%, had recently been hiked to a shocking 50%.

This action has caused a stir in the state health department.

All three accused have been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
