A shocking human trafficking syndicate has been uncovered in Delhi, where newborns were being bought from vulnerable families and sold to childless couples for as much as ₹9 lakh.
Operating out of Heera Multispeciality Hospital in Rohini, the gang allegedly used forged birth certificates and fabricated medical records to facilitate illegal adoptions.
Investigations reveal the network spanned across Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh.
So far, 13 people, including the hospital owner, lab technicians, and buyers, have been arrested, and six infants have been rescued.
Authorities suspect that over 30 infants may have been trafficked through this syndicate over the past two years.
