Cheetah KGP12 Becomes a Mother Again! 🐆❤️

A remarkable development has come from Kuno National Park. Cheetah KGP12, who lost all four of her cubs earlier this year, has now given birth to four cubs again. 🐾

What makes this even more special? Both the mother and her new cubs were born in India. 🇮🇳

KGP12 was born in India to Gamini, a cheetah brought from South Africa. On April 11, 2026, KGP12 gave birth to four cubs, marking the first time a female cheetah born in India had given birth in the wild after the reintroduction programme.

Sadly, all four cubs died about a month later, with signs suggesting an attack by another wild animal. KGP12 survived.

Now, on September 18, she has welcomed four more cubs. 🐆🐆🐆🐆

From losing her first litter to becoming a mother again, KGP12’s story is another significant chapter in India’s cheetah conservation journey.
