Helicopters Used to Relocate Blackbucks and Nilgai in Madhya Pradesh! 🦌🚁

In an unusual wildlife conservation drive in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh, helicopters are being used to help relocate blackbucks and nilgai to reduce human-wildlife conflict and protect farmers’ crops.

The Forest Department is reportedly working with a specialist team from South Africa using the Boma technique, in which animals are guided into a specially designed funnel-shaped enclosure.

After being safely captured, the animals are transported in customised vehicles to designated protected areas, where they can live away from human settlements.

The initiative aims to balance wildlife conservation with farmers’ livelihoods.
