In 2026 the battle for water continues.
This is the reality of Lahaur Pani Jamra Faliya in Khargone Madhya Pradesh.
There are around 25 homes but just one handpump for the entire area.
As summer peaks even that single handpump starts failing.
Water comes drop by drop and filling one pot takes hours.
Women and children wake up at 4 AM and walk out in complete darkness carrying pots.
Long lines form and after endless waiting only a little water is collected.
When the handpump gives nothing people walk to distant drains to fetch water.
They drink that same water and survive on it.
Every day is the same struggle.
Every morning brings the same hope.
This is not just water shortage.
This is a life where every single drop is precious.
Many such faliyas across India face the same reality. What do you have to say?
