2 Teachers Die In 48 Hours On Census Duty In Odisha

Is government duty turning deadly? A shocking report from Odisha has raised serious questions on the system.

Within just 48 hours two teachers deployed on census survey duty have lost their lives.

The first incident happened in Mayurbhanj where teacher Raj Kapur Hembram collapsed and died right after returning home from surveying three villages.

His family has made serious allegations that officials forced him to complete work despite being unwell.

The second tragic news came from Sundargarh where teacher Anurag Ekka fell sick during field duty and died the same day.

This is the third such death in the state this month alone.

Temperatures in these Odisha districts have already crossed 37 degrees.

Be it elections or census why are teachers always treated as easy targets?

Does the administration have no concern for their lives?

How long will this deadly work pressure in extreme heat and sickness continue?
