Akola: RPF Officer Saves Woman From Falling Between Moving Train and Platform 🚆👏
A quick response by RPF Assistant Sub Inspector Sonal Ingle averted a potential tragedy at Akola railway station on October 17. She rescued 55 year old Sangeeta Bharat Khatri after she lost her footing while attempting to get off the moving Prerna Express.
Remarkably, this was Ingle’s second rescue in just seven days. On October 10, she had also saved a 63 year old passenger who was attempting to board the departing Navjeevan Express.
Both rescues highlight the importance of the RPF’s Operation Jeevan Raksha, which focuses on protecting passengers’ lives. Passengers are urged to never board or get off a moving train.
