Rudraprayag Standoff Ends: Nihang Sikhs Vacate Gurdwara After 4-Day Crisis

The four-day-long standoff at the Nagarasu Gurdwara in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, has finally ended.

A group of Nihang Sikhs, who had occupied the shrine since June 20, vacated the premises on Tuesday after successful negotiations led by Sikh representatives from Punjab and local authorities.

The incident began as an internal dispute when the group sought accommodation for a protest linked to the June 16 arrest of four Nihangs involved in a clash in Karnaprayag.

Local administration and police handled the situation calmly, ensuring that pilgrimages such as Hemkund Sahib were not affected.

Both the Karnaprayag incident and related allegations have now been transferred to Haridwar police for an impartial investigation.

Peace has been restored, and pilgrims are safe. Share this update to dispel misinformation. 👇
