The death of 26-year-old Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal during a trek at Lohagad Fort has taken a dark turn.

Initially reported as a fall caused by strong winds while taking photographs, police investigation has uncovered a chilling murder plot.

Authorities discovered that Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her lover, Chetan Chaudhary, conspired to kill him.

Evidence suggests this was their third attempt, following failed plans in late May and mid-June.

A breakthrough came when investigators noticed a "hoodie-clad" man on CCTV footage following the couple in 33°C heat.

Further analysis of digital trails, thousands of phone calls, and suspicious travel cancellations, including Siya allegedly hiding Ketan's passport to cancel a Bali trip – confirmed the premeditated nature of the crime.

Both suspects have been arrested and are now facing charges of murder and criminal conspiracy. A tragic end to a life full of promise.
