🚢 Germany: Luxury Cruise Ship Collides with Cargo Vessels Amid Storm, 3,350 People Escape Unhurt!
A 20-day luxury cruise turned into a frightening ordeal when TUI Cruises' Mein Schiff 3 collided with container vessels while departing Bremerhaven, Germany, on October 25.
Strong winds from Storm Manja reportedly pushed the 293-metre cruise ship towards moored cargo vessels despite assistance from tugboats. The collision caused a nearly 10-metre tear in one container ship's hull, damaged several lifeboats aboard Mein Schiff 3, and affected two tugboats.
Fortunately, all 2,428 passengers and 922 crew members escaped without reported injuries. The cruise ship returned to the Columbuskaje terminal for inspection.
The planned Canary Islands voyage has reportedly been cancelled, while German authorities continue investigating the incident.
