Bayern Munich seal Bundesliga title without kicking a ball on Sunday
Bayern Munich are the Champions of Germany for the 34th time and they ensured their 34th title on Sunday without even playing on the field. Bayern were crowned as this season’s Bundesliga champions when their arch rivals Bayer Leverkusen played a 2-2 draw against Freiburg. This draw ended Leverkusen’s dream of winning successive Bundesliga titles and once again crowned Bayern Munich as the champions of Germany for the record 34th time.
Glory days back for Bayern under Kompany
Vincent Kompany who was given the Bayern job in the beginning of this season ensured that Bayern’s dominance in Bundesliga will come back after their last season’s performance, where Bayern’s dominace of winning 11 consecutive titles was stopped by Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen. Kompany silenced doubters and proved Bayern’s faith in him was justified by managing the club to their 34th league title.
Harry Kane wins a major trophy
Harry Kane who joined Bayern in 2023 had to wait for a long time to win his first major trophy and the English striker who is hailed as one of the greatest striker finally won a major trophy in his career . Kane led Bayern’s front line with class, experience and his brilliant goalscoring ability. Harry Kane scored 24 goals this season in Bundesliga and is leading the golden boot race in Germany. Kane who failed to win a major trophy in his Tottenham shirt finally ended his trophy drought in Germany. Now Harry Kane isn’t just a world class striker but also the CHAMPION of Germany.
A complete domination by Bayern
Bayern currently has 76 points in 32 matches played this season. They won 23 matches whereas have lost only 2 matches and have managed to draw 7 this season. Michael Olise who joined Bayern this season managed to assist 13 goals this season which is the highest in the league right now.
Fairytale ending for Thomas Müller
Müller who is leaving Bayern after incredible 15 years got his fairytale ending as he leaves Bayern whilst being a League Champion. The German Great is one of the most decorated players in Bayern’s history and more than just goals and assists the “Raumdeuter” gave his whole heart to Bayern and was fully loyal to his club for many years which is now rare in football.
Bayern’s 34th title win is one for the record books and the fans will be hoping for more trophies next season as this is just the start of a new era in the Alianz Arena.
