PBKS vs DC IPL match called off Due to Blackout in Dharamshala

The IPL 2025 match between PBKS and DC was called off due to security reasons after a Blackout was forced in Dharamshala due to air raid alerts in Himachal. The PBKS side were 122 for 1 in 10.1 overs when the floodlights were turned off in the HPCA stadium. PrabhSimran Singh was batting at 50, and Priyansh Arya made 70 off 34 balls and was dismissed by T Natrajan.

 Security and technical issues led to the match being abandoned

The match had to be called off due to the attacks by Pakistan on India. The crowd was asked to leave the stadium after the floodlights were turned off. The match was called off due to “technical failure” in Dharamshala. The IPL chairman, Arun Dhumal, urged fans to leave the stadium as soon as the lights went off. During the match, Pakistan attacked the northern parts of India, including Jammu, Pathankot, and other border areas. Punjab has announced a blackout in almost every district.

MI vs PBKS shifted from Dharamshala

Earlier, the MI vs PBKS match, which was scheduled to be played in Dharamshala, was shifted to Ahmedabad today due to logistics issues, and the PBKS vs DC was given a go-ahead after there were reports of the match to be played during the day.

Special train for players- Rajeev Shukla

BCCI to arrange a special train to evacuate players, officials from Dharamshala. The BCCI has decided that a special train will get all the players of DC and PBKS. BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla said

“ We are organizing a special train from Una which is not far from Dharamshala to bring everybody home safely. As of now the match has been called off and the stadium has been evacuated . We will take a call on the tournament’s future depending on the situation tomorrow. As of now players safety is utmost important “
