Meta Introduces Parental Controls on Threads in India 📱👨‍👩‍👧

Meta has rolled out parental supervision on Threads across Asia Pacific, including India, giving parents more visibility and control over their teen’s usage.

Through Family Center, parents can see their teen’s Threads usage for the past seven days, set daily time limits, manage privacy settings and control who can tag them.

There’s also a Sleep Mode from 10 PM to 7 AM, while teens under 16 need parental approval to make certain safety settings less restrictive.

Meta says these tools are designed to support safer, age appropriate experiences for teens.

But the bigger question remains: Are parental controls enough to make social media safer for teenagers?
