Now Bhopal to Indore in just two hours. Yes! the journey will be half and the speed will be doubled.

Big good news has arrived for travellers commuting between Madhya Pradesh's two biggest cities Bhopal and Indore.

A high speed expressway connecting both cities will soon be built reducing travel time from four hours to just one and a half to two hours.

This will be a six lane access controlled greenfield corridor developed by the National Highway Authority of India under the Bharatmala project.

The new road will be approximately 146 kilometres long which is about 50 kilometres shorter than the existing 188 kilometre route.

The expressway will start from the Bhopal bypass and reach Indore's MR 10 via Sehore, Ashta and Dewas.

This project will not only make travel easier and reduce traffic jams but also give a big speed boost to the state's economy.
