The Indian film industry is mourning the monumental loss of veteran actor Nana Patekar, who passed away at the age of 75 after suffering a severe cardiac arrest at his Goa residence on October 8, 2026. Following the tragic news, his close friend and co-star Anupam Kher took to social media to share a deeply emotional and tearful tribute video.

Remembering their fondest memories, a heartbroken Kher expressed his grief, noting that, knowing Nana's grounded and authentic personality, the late actor would have dismissed the idea of grand tributes altogether. Concluding his heartfelt message with "Goodbye, my friend, Nana Patekar.

Lots of love," Kher reflected the collective sorrow of fans and the film fraternity. The loss of the 'Krantiveer' and 'Welcome' star leaves an unfillable void in Indian cinema, closing the chapter on a truly unique era of performances. Keeping our audience connected with such poignant moments in the entertainment industry remains a priority for the VYGR news desk.
