Gwalior Family Announces ₹50,000 Reward for Missing Pet Parrot 'Shakuntala'

In a touching display of love for a pet, a family residing in the NG Grand apartments on Alkapuri-Collectorate Road in Gwalior is desperately searching for their missing parrot. The family has announced a massive cash reward of ₹50,000 for anyone who finds and safely returns their beloved bird, named 'Shakuntala' (affectionately called Mitthu).

Key Highlights of the Search:

• The Incident: The parrot accidentally flew out of an open window in the house on Monday and has been missing ever since.

• A Family Member: According to the owner, Anil Ojha, Shakuntala was never kept locked in a cage and used to roam freely around the house, instantly flying to sit on the shoulders or hands of family members when called.

• Heartbroken Family: The disappearance has deeply affected the household, particularly the grandmother and young granddaughter, who have reportedly stopped eating properly out of grief and wait by the door hoping for her return.

• Identification: The parrot is green in color and can be uniquely identified by a grey and red 'tilak' mark on its head.

• City-Wide Search: The family has launched a massive search campaign, plastering missing posters across Gwalior and hiring e-rickshaws to make public announcements (munadi) in various neighborhoods.

For the Ojha family, the ₹50,000 reward means nothing compared to the safe return of their feathered family member.
