Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked his 75th birthday with a historic event in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, where he unveiled a series of landmark initiatives aimed at empowering women, improving maternal and child health, and boosting India’s industrial growth.

At the centre of the celebrations were the launches of the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’, the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah Campaign, and the inauguration of the ‘Aadi Seva Parv’. Alongside these, PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for India’s first PM Mitra Park in Bhainsola village, a move expected to transform the textile industry and create nearly three lakh new job opportunities for the youth of Madhya Pradesh.

The Prime Minister’s visit to Dhar marked a turning point for both social and economic progress:

This flagship campaign focuses on women’s health, with special attention to pregnant and lactating mothers, recognising their critical role in building strong families and a healthier nation.

  • Inauguration of Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month):
Now in its 8th edition, the campaign aims to tackle malnutrition and promote nutrition awareness across the country.

  • ‘Aadi Seva Parv’ Celebration:
Aimed at promoting service-oriented activities in tribal areas, the festival highlights the government’s commitment to the upliftment of indigenous communities.

  • Innovative Digital Projects Unveiled:
PM Modi introduced tools like the ‘Suman Sakhi Chatbot’ and ‘Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam’, designed to provide women-friendly digital support and promote sustainable practices.

  • Financial Assistance for Women:
Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, ₹1,000 crore worth of direct financial aid will be transferred to the bank accounts of 10 lakh women beneficiaries, empowering mothers through direct support.

The event was attended by Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, and several senior leaders. Massive arrangements, including large dome tents and strict security measures, were made to accommodate the gathering.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Virtually Attends from New Delhi

While Prime Minister Modi led the Dhar event, Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, joined virtually from Community Health Centre (CHC), Saket, New Delhi.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Chouhan extended warm birthday wishes to PM Modi, describing his life as a model of discipline, service, and dedication. He praised the Prime Minister’s leadership, noting how:

  • India has emerged as a global power with a stronger international image.

  • Modi transformed Gujarat with a new development model before taking India to new heights as Prime Minister in 2014.

  • The government is pursuing a vision of a self-reliant (Atmanirbhar) India with bold policies and global negotiations done on India’s terms.

  • India’s decisive stance was reflected in responses like ‘Operation Sindoor’ after the Pahalgam terror attack.

Shri Chouhan emphasised that “only when women are healthy will families and the nation remain healthy.” He criticised the negligence of past governments in providing healthcare but highlighted current efforts like Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, which are expanding access to health services.

He also drew attention to:

  • The beginning of ‘Seva Pakhwada’, a fortnight-long initiative with women’s health camps across the country.

  • Modi’s consistent focus on women-centric schemes, including Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao and the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.

  • His own tenure as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, when he launched the Ladli Behna Yojana for women’s welfare.

Chouhan urged women to prioritise their own health, adopt nutritious diets, and practice yoga and pranayama. Using PM Modi’s lifestyle as an example, he encouraged citizens to embrace Swadeshi products and strengthen the dream of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
