In a thrilling match held at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday, Kolkata defeated Lucknow in a dramatic Super Over finish. This was the first match of the season to be decided by a Super Over.
Chasing a target of 156, Lucknow needed 7 runs off the final ball. Mohammed Shami smashed a six to level the scores and take the game into the Super Over. In the Super Over, Sunil Narine delivered a brilliant spell, restricting Lucknow to just 1 run. Rinku Singh then sealed the victory for Kolkata with a boundary.
Rinku Singh and Rovman Powell came out to bat for Kolkata, while Prince Yadav bowled for Lucknow. Rinku Singh struck a boundary on the very first ball, finishing the match in style.
Lucknow Manage Only 1 Run in Super Over
Sunil Narine bowled the Super Over for Kolkata, while Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram came out to bat for Lucknow.
On the first ball, Nicholas Pooran was bowled.

On the third ball, Aiden Markram was caught out at the boundary.
