Good news for travelers! Uttarakhand CM has proposed extending the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Rapid Rail to Haridwar and Rishikesh.

According to the plan, the service will start from Meerut, pass through Roorkee and Jwalapur, and reach Rishikesh.

This means Delhi to Rishikesh will take only about 3 hours, and Ghaziabad to Rishikesh will take just 2 hours.

A metro corridor connecting Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh has also been proposed. This will significantly boost tourism and connectivity in the region.

Soon, your Delhi friends might be heading to Rishikesh every weekend!
