TVS Apache RTX Debuts at ₹1.99 Lakh with All-New RT-XD4 Engine

The wait is over for motorcycle enthusiasts, as TVS Motor Company has launched its latest performance bike — the TVS Apache RTX — in India. Priced at ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Apache RTX marks a fresh era of design, technology, and power in the Apache family. It introduces an all-new RT-XD4 engine, a robust and efficient motor developed specially for this new model.

The TVS Apache RTX is more than just a new bike; it’s a new experience for riders who love both speed and control. The heart of the machine — the RT-XD4 engine — is a 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder power unit that produces an impressive 40 bhp and 38 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a six-speed gearbox that features a slipper clutch for smooth and controlled gear shifts.

TVS claims this engine has been built on years of racing experience and engineering refinement. The power delivery is linear but packs enough thrill for those who want to feel the rush of acceleration on open roads. With a top speed nearing 160 km/h, the Apache RTX promises to offer the best balance of performance and everyday practicality.

The Apache RTX brings a modern and sporty design language that reflects its racing DNA. The bike features a muscular fuel tank, aerodynamic fairing, and sharp LED headlamps that make it look fierce and futuristic. The riding position is designed to keep the rider comfortable during long rides, while still offering a sporty stance suitable for track conditions.

A fully digital TFT display provides all essential ride data including speed, gear position, fuel economy, and navigation support. The cockpit also supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing riders to sync their smartphones and receive call or message notifications directly on the screen.

In terms of features, the Apache RTX gets dual-channel ABSride modes, and a ride-by-wire throttle system, which enhances responsiveness and efficiency. TVS has also included switchable traction control — something rarely seen in this price bracket — providing extra safety during wet or slippery conditions.

Suspension duties are handled by high-quality Showa USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The brakes are powerful with petal discs on both ends, ensuring quick and reliable stopping power.

With its price tag of ₹1.99 lakh, the TVS Apache RTX sits in direct competition with the Bajaj Dominar 400KTM Duke 390, and Yamaha MT-03. However, by offering cutting-edge features, strong performance, and premium build quality at this price point, TVS is clearly aiming to capture both young riders and experienced bikers alike.

The Apache RTX, just like its predecessors in the Apache series, is expected to become a popular choice among Indian riders who crave style, performance, and reliability in a single machine.

The launch of the TVS Apache RTX shows that the Indian motorcycle scene is entering a new era of home-grown innovation. With the new RT-XD4 engine, sporty looks, and advanced features, TVS has taken a bold step in strengthening its performance lineup.

For a price under ₹2 lakh, the Apache RTX delivers big-bike performance, refined technology, and a thrilling riding experience — all packed in a head-turning design that proudly carries the Apache badge.
