Kawasaki Corleo is a revolutionary hydrogen-powered, four-legged robotic vehicle designed to transform off-road mobility by combining advanced robotics, motorcycle technology, and clean energy. Announced in early 2025 by Kawasaki Heavy Industries at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, Corleo is conceptualized as a personal mobility machine that can be ridden like a horse on a wide range of terrains, including grasslands, rocky paths, and rubble fields.

Unlike traditional off-road motorcycles or vehicles, Corleo moves with the agility and stability of a real animal. Powered by a 150cc hydrogen engine, the robot uses hydrogen fuel cells to generate electricity, which drives each of the four legs. The hydrogen is supplied from a canister mounted at the rear, allowing for easy refueling. This approach aligns with Kawasaki’s broader sustainability goals and Japan’s push towards hydrogen energy.
