CM Vijay Serves Breakfast, Then Sits and Eats With Students! 🍽️🏫

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay launched the expansion of the state’s Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Breakfast Scheme to students of Classes 6 to 8 at a government school in Chennai.

The expansion will benefit around 15.30 lakh additional students across 15,454 government and government-aided schools. The state has allocated an additional ₹217.63 crore for the expansion, taking the scheme’s total allocation to ₹724 crore.

But the moment that caught attention was at the launch itself. Vijay served breakfast to the students and then sat down to have the meal with them. He later visited classrooms and interacted with the children.

The scheme aims to provide students with a nutritious morning meal and help them attend school without hunger.
