An Indian pilot has garnered global praise from leaders including PM Modi, Donald Trump, and Benjamin Netanyahu for his extraordinary bravery in averting a major aviation disaster.

Captain Smith Machhar was operating flydubai flight FZ 1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv when an Omani passenger attempted to hijack and crash the aircraft, endangering the lives of 180 innocent passengers.

The attacker launched a vicious knife assault, inflicting severe stab wounds on Captain Machhar. Bleeding profusely but refusing to yield, the resolute pilot used his remaining strength to stabilize the plane and open the cockpit door.

This crucial action allowed the crew and passengers to subdue the attacker, enabling a safe emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.
